Synopsis
The jackal is an elusive killer who earns his living by hitting for the highest fee. He soon meets a tough British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. «Day of the Jackal»; The novel was set in 1963 and involved an assassination attempt on then French President Charles de Gaulle.
Remake of The Day of the Jackal (1973)
I noticed a strong comment from "Where did we go wrong". Casting Redmayne was the perfect choice for this remake of the classic. A big mistake was casting the main female role of Lashana Lynch, a female MI6 agent.
She seems inexperienced for the role
It’s like she’s trying hard to impress and paying less attention to her character role, which should go to a more experienced actress. They should have cast a more confident and experienced actress like Christine Adams. I will admit that the rest of the cast was fine and the acting was decent.

The story and production were spot on for me and kept me glued to the action scenes with Redmayne. I was tempted to fast forward all of Lashana Lynch’s parts as they became very annoying. The new season of «Silo» is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of the month.
